Definitely makes them seem more interesting than the DP submitted drawings on shapeyourcity made them look

I appreciate the textured panels providing a bit of visual interest and a nod to the precast panels seen throughout the west end. Definitely an improvement over previous rendered views.

Feels like a nice homage to the old West End towers.

Seems like those were from two years ago

If that granite material is the one they're using, I think this could feel like those "old" apartment blocks even as a new build (which is great)

The panels look pretty thick, and they look awkward forming a "slapped on" side to some of the balconies
(versus the concrete balconies from the 1970s where the side panel sits on the slab - see below).
I would assume they would be some sort of lightweight polymer material.

Refreshing to see the spandrel panels glazed with a matching finish to the vision glass.

Hard to find the final renderings for these projects whose design changed a few times.

lol, officedweller, I like how you have it topping out with The Butterfly.

I forgot there was a stand alone thread for these towers, the past couple I've posted on the Downtown Vancouver thread.

These 3 pictures by me were taken last Thurday Oct 23, 2025

The black and grey panels are disappointing, especially considering all the previous design iterations proposed for this site. The pattern on the panels shows barely any contrast between the shades of grey, not to mention that we live in a city where it is dark and gloomy for 8 months of the year.

You can see some of the panels in the bottom floors of Zep's last picture, if you want to know what i'm referring to.

I think those make it look worse, as it tries to break up the banding.
