I think it looks amazing overall. The only thing I'm apprehensive about is how it's such a tall tower right in front of the rest of the skyline which reduces the layering effect. But skylines change and evolve over time to what can you do.

I think you just explained what people find so appealing about it. While it doesn't look brutalist, it does give 60s/70s international style vibes which many of us love. In fact, that's one of my favourite architectural eras.

While reminiscent of mid-century modernism, I think there's some contemporary touch to it.
