If its the one I remember then it was a design proposal by Chris Dikeakos Architects for the lot between the Metroplace and Highline (currently under construction) towers.
Unfortunately there are not any images anywhere anymore to be found as they were only on the architect's website and have since been removed.
The design proposal seemed to be at a very preliminary stage and was very rudimentary and it seemed more for rezoning purposes than an actual design proposal, so it wouldn't surprise me if the current design has changed significantly since then.
The only things I would note from my memory of it is that it was taller than 30 stories if I remember correctly (somewhere in the low to mid-40's), it was going to be one of two towers on the site (a market tower and a smaller rental tower to the south much like other projects in the area are doing). And also, not to disagree with Klazu, but I think I recall that the distinctive feature of the design was a massive interlaced structural element running up the middle of the north and south faces, and not the kind of alternating, zig-zagging balconies we see here.
I tried finding the images shortly after this and came up short, but if that's the one, then I imagine we won't be seeing any images of it anytime soon as the design has probably moved on past what we saw here.
The application for the rezoning/design permit is still up at the City of Burnaby projects page so I guess it's still being processed and its not on hold or anything (although it may have been slowed down by the lockdown and the election changes before that).
I don't imagine that that lot - located where it is - will remain undeveloped for very long. So we should probably see some design proposal images before very long.
It's one of the last two prime lots still undeveloped on that Beresford row of towers fronting the Mall and the Skytrain line with the other being the ones between Dow Ave. and Sussex, and a application process was just initiated for the lots across the street from Moda on Dow (those three lots were sold for $100 Million a little over a year ago, so it was basically a matter of time) for the usual two highrise towers combining a market tower with a non-market/rental shorter tower route that other developers have followed of late.
