I would not call it elegant but it does not look offensively bad to me. It seems like a background building. I am not a big fan of the trend of mixing different coloured panels and spandrel, and I find that a lot of newer buildings have odd rooflines or no real "top" to speak of (one guideline being to have a bottom, middle, and top on a building). The little brick rowhouses next door, to my eyes, have a more pleasing visual rhythm and proportions.
It might not stick out so much when the tower next door is built. And in the long run there could be a lot of construction around it.
