I just did that too...

Very interesting to see the scale/scope of projects and how the 2013 projects are much more modest and feasible than the 2009 projects. Also the architectural trends are drastically different and the renderings are much flashier.

"Comcast has confirmed that it is looking at constructing a second tower near the Comcast Center to bring 1,000 employees in leased offices around town into its "urban campus." Of a new tower, Roberts said: "I have a concept in mind of what I think we need, and if we can figure it out, we will announce it at the proper time."" 11/11/13 - philly.com

Newmark is based both in the Wanamaker building and in Wayne, PA. Would love to see Macy's buy up more of the Wanamaker building to expand the Macy's and those companies move out of the Wanamaker building into new office buildings.

Build more office highrises!

This could also just be a negotiating ploy. From the end of the article:
"Though he acknowledged that Hill could still stay in Marlton -- if its current landlords cut lease rates for the two buildings the company has leased there through April 2015."

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is Hill's broker. Hill would be moving 200 people downtown taking 70k in space.

All companies say these things. A company that wants to move downtown has no intentions of staying in suburban New Jersey. FMC said they were considering moving to NJ and Delaware as well but ended up settling for the 650 foot Cira Centre South Building. When a company says they want to be downtown, they want to be downtown. I would consider it more of a negotiating ploy if they were considering the Navy Yard.

Huh? What, do you need a magnifying glass to read between the lines? Nothing big? He basically said we are going to build the most state of the art building in the world--which is reflective of their commitment to innovation and growth.

The way he worded it, the fact that they are apparently going back and froth and further refining plans with Foster--it all actually gets me more excited to see what they have in store for this tower.
