Haven't we had this discussion before?

Oh, I didn't mean you in particular, Boxster. But I do recall at least a couple of other threads in which the boundaries of Vanier were misunderstood.

when Audi opens the intention is that Montreal road will only service Porsche and so take a big load of the demand on the bays.

On second thought, Audi servicing should go down at Vanier location.

So no more 3 week wait for 911 owners.

Life is good! Ever driven a Porsche?

So after an endless pointless battle with the city of Ottawa, Mark Motors will not be going ahead with this project on Cyrville Road. Good news is, they will have an amazing new showroom on Montreal Rd at the former Belisle site. Work started on it today and it paves the way for more future development on that site.

Crazy..the site on Cyrville is fenced off and everything. I had no idea this one wasn't approved. Who bought the Belisle site again? Maybe the condo towers aren't going to happen?

Noticed in the lobbying registry that a consultant working for Mark Motors (Audi and Porsche dealer at Montreal and Brittany) had a meeting with the new Rideau-Rockcliffe Councilor regarding the Belisle site.

Also there is some construction work (possible demolition) ongoing at the old Belisle building. The work appears to mainly be focused at the front, showroom area of the building.

They met with the councillor due to ongoing issues regarding the delays of receiving the building permit. Mark Motors received the same treatment by the city for the cyrville rd site. The reasoning from the city is just plain idiotic.

Most of the demo is in the showroom area as the mezzanines have been removed and the showroom floor is going to be 2 ft lower than the old one. The service and body shop areas will remain with the same layout but mechanical, electrical, and architectural upgrades will be done. The exterior will look much different as well.

Interesting. I wasn't aware they were going there.

Those renos makes sense. The old showroom was really high up and generally dealerships like to ( or are required to) have the "brand dealership architecture/design" at the front

your right on the money. She's gonna be a gem in terms of dealerships when all said and done. This thread can be changed to Audi Ottawa, 458 Montreal Rd.

Official purchase of land and building was done on January 17th from Belisle Holdings to Mark Motors for Approx. 13,000,000.

Thanks! Didnt realize there was already a thread.

On another note its great to see so much interest from developers to build close to cyrville station which is arguably the most useless station at the moment. With all these proposals this station could be well worth the money in a few years.
