Protestors in London, Paris, and San Fran actually tried to grab the torch from the torch bearer during the Beijing Torch Relay. One of the torch bearers was a Paralympian in a wheelchair.
Their message backfired in China as all of the torchbearers came home with celebrity/hero status as HK and Mainland media spread the word.
I can't wait for one of these anti-2010 protestors become overzealous and completely throws their movement into a loop. At the same time, I hope the officials/authorities keep a light hand so as to not give the protestors credence in villifying the police or the Games.
