After seeing these amazing photos of Denver, it's no wonder that Midwesterners love them some Denver... I've heard that Midwesterners love Denver more than investment bankers love Greenwich and New Canaan, CT. I never understood why until right about now. Them's some good lookin' photos you got there. Good eye!

Wonderful Pictures. Denver is truly one of North America's top cities and it just keeps getting better and better.

Amazing photos. No way can a favorite be picked!

Where is this rowhouse? It looks great and it's obviously new, but designed to look older. I really want to see a TON more of these as Denver continues its spree of infill.

This photo is sweet. One could mistake such a picture for a European city like Paris! (save the water slides of course, lol)

Denver is probably the US city at the top of my list to visit that I haven't already visited. Just evident by your photos it's an amazing looking city and you caught it very well. I really liked your usage of depth of field and the different city scenes that really showed off the city Denver very well.

I really like that Riverfront district, I always like those new urban neighborhoods that sprout from barely anything, one of the most famous ones is the Pearl District (although it had some buildings prior to development). They always seem to have really neat public spaces, like that skatepark you showed, Genuis!

I also enjoyed your skyline shots. All around awesome piece of artwork. You should try selling a few of these for $$, they're quite good

Yet it still manages to look warm, unlike many other cities where the new shiny stuff just looks bland and uninspiring.

I remember when the big f'n ugly post office annex building was here. It was a big yellow bricked building with no windows and not oriented to the pedestrian or its lower downtown surroundings.

The city did the neighborhood a great service when it tore down that eyesore and incorporated these two new buildings that fit the scale and red brick of the surrounding neighborhood.

Well, Denver is known as "Paris of the Plains"

Quote:
Denver the Queen of the Rockies Gets 08 Democratic Convention...

Denver has a history of being a can do state. From the early days of the state its pioneers created culture, finance
and a transportation system that rocked the West. Situated in the most rugged terrain on various corners of the city,
Denver chiseled its way to becoming a cultural center in the early 1900s compared only to the West's other gem San Francisco.
Home to Adolph Coors, Denver has a rich history of transforming itself from impossible to the vision of one of Denver's
first mayors, Robert W. Speer's, "Paris on the Plains."
That's still a vision Denver is working towards today. There is still plenty of work to be done. The last 20 years have been great. The last 10 years have been excellent. The next 10 years will be extraordinary!

Wow, I'm really impressed. I'm glad I clicked on this thread. Some of the best Denver photos I've see on here. I particularly enjoyed the neighborhood photos. But they were all great... crisp & colorful!

The building that replaced the post office is timeless, literally, I thought it was a old building that had gotten a good powerwashing and new windows.

So you're saying that Paris doesn't have water slides? Man, Paris must suck.

Denver looks great. I've heard about those "boutique" apartments... they took crappy 1960s block apartment buildings and renovated them with "green" features. Are they actually nice or rather gimmicky?
