Don't know about the east side, but on the west side they've added massive "CANADA PLACE" print on the side of the building.

This could be posturing to ensure the space is filled. They want a long-term tenant and IMAX hasn't decided yet. The chance of losing the space will get them moving on a decision.

I think Canada Place just wants to be sure something will be there.

^ well, in all fairness ours is over 20 years old....and it's a shame they don't show new films. That place would have been a buzz if they had shown The Dark Knight last year.

if you look they occasionally play movies other than nature films

I've been working on this project for the past few months and there is just a week before it is reopened. There is quite a bit of work to do but they're hopeful it'll be done this long weekend, every contractor will be doing absolute overtime to get it done.

I had a hard time interpreting the photo, but is it possible the one you asked about is a new entry to the walkway that connects Canada Place to the new Convention Centre?

That makes sense!! The escalators in the new convention centre that connects to Canada Place is blocked off right now. Duh! I was going through architectural plans of the floor below and couldn't for the life of me why it turned west. lol.

Thanks!

the concourse looks great, although i will miss the kitzch of the mid 1980s pink marble.

Is there an artist that did the feature floor? that looks stunning....
