Always did like Chicago's Chinatown for the fact that it feels like a "working-man's Chinatown" (aka less touristy, more daily living).

Awesome pics, I feel like Chicago's Chinatown often is forgotten when discussing American Chinese districts. Thanks for posting these.

Great shots! I've definitely gotten the stink eye wandering back to my Chinatown hotel in the wee hours after a night out. Everyone keeps a hard eye on things it seems.

Great shots cbautz. I haven't been to Chinatown in awhile. I think it's time I get back over there.

On a side note, I can't STAND those new housing developments. In fact, I hate them quite a bit. Not for the way they look so much as the way they don't even make an effort to address the street. Way too much of that bipolar suburban-urban crap is being built in Chicago these days.
