Uncool: Vancouver's Olympic Architecture

^^i was living in Calgary at the time that Vancouver was awarded the 2010 Olympics. to say the least I was happy a Canadian city had won the games, but was upset that it wasn't Calgary. I figured it would've saved on costs seeing as how the facilities are already there and perhaps only needed minor renovations. plus with the extra budget money, Calgary could've built a new football stadium for the opening ceremonies. then the money that is spent there would stay in Calgary and not go anywhere else.

I think that the people of Richmond would be happier about the amount of tax dollars they put into the Oval if it was something they would be more likely to publicly used afterward.
So in that sense, the decision is wise politically.

I think that Alberta should finance another Summer Olympics bid for Montreal. Just as like an act of good will, you know?
