It's August 15th of last year. August 15th is India's independence day and many parts of India celebrate it with kite flying. Blaring muisc speakers is a new addition I guess.

Kite festivals are common in many parts of India. In Gujarat (Ahmedabad etc) it is a big festival during January. In West Bengal (Calcutta) it is September.

Jams like these are common during peak hours, because of heavy traffic and construction work



An eight lane highway will soon connect Gurgaon and New Delhi. Stretches of the highway are open to traffic now.
