Some news on Skyline at Mary Brickell Village...

Skyline may discount for would-be buyers elsewhere
South Florida Business Journal - 8:28 AM EDT Tuesday

People who have seen developers cancel their condominium contracts or reservations aren't entirely out of luck. Skyline at Mary Brickell Village has said it plans to waive the developer fee on purchases from people with the cancelled paperwork.

To be eligible for the discount at the Miami development, buyers must bring in proof of their cancelled, executed purchase contract or proof of reservation with another development.

The Skyline at Mary Brickell Village condominium is to be at 900 S.W. First Ave. A 35-story building is to hold 369 residences and a 40,000-square-foot pool and recreation deck.

Developers have said they expects to complete construction at the site in the second quarter 2008.

Here are some renderings submitted by Hotel de l'opera, the 34-story 400 foot hotel with 350 rooms. Surprisingly Tibor Hollo hired Zyscovich for this one.

Terrazas breaks ground near Miami River
South Florida Business Journal - 3:02 PM EDT Thursday

Terrazas International Group broke ground Wednesday on its Terrazas River Park Village project.

The two-tower, 324-unit development is next to E.G. Sewell Park, along the Miami River. The project is slated for completion in late 2007.

The site, at 1861 N.W. South River Drive, was the former home to a mental institution. Dodge Hospital was closed December 2001 and the property was purchased in November 2002 for $4 million.

Units are priced from $300,000 and the developers are targeting sales to workers in the nearby Civic Center area of Miami. More than 30,000 work at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital, government offices and other institutions.

Terrazas International Group is a joint venture of BA Investment Group, headed by Fernandez Prieto; Julio Comparada; and B Developments, led by Miguel Angel Barbagallo.

Miami's Forumers List

Hey guys, sorry for getting off topic here but I was wondering if anybody would be interested in helping out with putting together a list of all the Miami forumers so I can post it on the How many forumers do we have per city? thread I created on Skybar. I also need it so I know exactly how many of you forumers we have.

You can either post it yourself or you can send me a private message with the names and I'll post it.

Here is a link to the thread: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=103189

Thanks!

Anyone know when Met 3 is breaking ground? Emporis claims it's been under construction for 2 years now. I drove by the other day and it's still a parking lot!

They've wrapped up the archeological excavation, have done the test pilings, and are going through final negotiations with the general contractor. We are told that it should get underway in a matter of weeks now.
