Yet, there are a bunch of commercial skyscrapers under construction/In For Permit. Aren't you the same user that insisted New York City was dead and that 5th ave was crime ridden in the 175 Park thread?

Delaware is home to more than 300 Fortune 500 HQs and yet doesn't have a supertall. I, too, can do simple searches on the interwebs and draw the wrong conclusions.

People with limited intelligence shouldn’t make proclamations. Scores of corporations are incorporated under Delaware law. That’s vastly different from having an HQ there.

He also claimed he read that no Citadel employees want to move to Miami. Can't find anywhere where that is on record, but the founder of the company is building a $500 million house in Palm Beach, so he clearly wants to be in the vicinity lol.

What I like about this tower is that the framework appears to be all white, which is a change from the mostly glass facades that are usually always in use in Miami, plus the red top. Red and white are the official colors of Grupo Santander, so it's no surprise to many who follow business that they would use those colors, but this tower will stand out with the other Miami towers due to it's color. And I won't be surprised to see once this tower is built, to see Santander's American HQ move from Boston to Miami, largely due to the very large Latin American population, as well as the Hispanophone population in Miami.

Santander Bank Announces It Will Begin ‘Landmark’ Brickell Tower

Banco Santander says it is proceeding with plans to build a new 1.6 million square foot tower in Brickell.

A 14-story office tower is currently on the site. Demolition will begin shortly, according to the company.

The property has already been fenced off, according to Ryan RC Rea.

There are currently 650 Santander employees working from the old tower, who will be moved to temporary space during construction.

Miami Building Department records show a master demolition permit was issued in early July, and a plumbing permit attached to the demo permit was issued on September 4.

The new tower will rise 41 stories, or 765 feet, and is being designed by Handel Architects and Bernardi & Peschard Arquitectura.

I can't believe the number of new office blocks going up in Miami compared to how destitute the commercial real estate market is in the rest of the country.

None of the planned towers have tenants other than Citadel’s. Further, Miami, which is not (and has never been) a commercial center, has trouble on the horizon. I love Miami, but let’s be realistic.

To be fair they don't have much office space to lease. The tower has less square footage in office space than 830 Brickell, and 830 Brickell was a big success.
