Yeah I'm still not getting any traditional Swiss architectural vibes even though they're a Swiss architecture firm.
From the 10th floor on, the gradual tiered eaves is a classic element of pagoda architecture.
Here's another example of a modern take on a pagoda in Indianapolis.

Either way, I'm sure we can all agree that Herzog & De Meuron has an outstanding portfolio, and this building is going to be the crown jewel of all hospitals in California, both architecturally and medically (given UCSF's world renowned prowess).
