Though reality is its never going to happen and thank goodness too. I just thought it was pretty funny looking at that picture. Good job Kevin.

Hey I did a quick guestimate on the amount of feet being built in Austin as far as UC buildings over 100ft. I could be off by like..600ft or so but it looks like something around 3,700 ft all together.

We could either have the single tallest building in the world, or have 37 100ft buildings throughout the city, how cool would that be?!

Cool, yeah I gathered up on what I could think of as well and got 3,248ft. Though I wanted to include the Broadstone on the Lake project, but wasn't sure if that exceed 100ft. or not so I didn't include it. Btw I also included The Skyhouse, and Gables Park Tower as well.

That's awesome editing Kevin. I miss being able to do that...I have a Sunday off in a few weeks...looks like the best time and day to explore.

Any updates of the Lamar Union and when it's suppose to open? It hasn't gotten too much buzz lately, but I'm really excited for it!

A CVC height determination request was filed today for 416 W. 11th Street. The site is currently a surface parking lot:

I believe that's the site for the new PTA building.

Well, that's not very exciting. But it makes sense because the site is not well suited for a residential building because it is directly across the street from the Travis Co. courthouse and criminal justice center. And that less than desirable view will not be going away any time soon.

The new PTA building's address will be 408 West 11th, however the parking lot at 416 West 11th is directly adjacent so yes this is probably for the new, larger PTA building. Marketing flyer from Oxford's website is below:

Anyone have more details on this one? The site has been cleared and it looks ready to go.

7East update

Streetlights Residential's website has detailed plans uploaded allowing contractors to bid on the deal. Hopefully they have already picked someone and can get it moving soon.

Here are numerous shots from this weekend...

From Joe's Crab Shack. There were some kids casually hanging out on the unfinished boardwalk.

From the I-35 northbound frontage road

From southeast Austin

A bit of a canyon effect emerging on 3rd Street

From Robertson Hill
