Like I said, "I'm not excited by this. I'm anticipating ugly, cheap, and crammed in." Oh well, at least it's in the "suburbs". JET

Actually, its in a highly visible location on the Dartmouth waterfront. Hardly is it out of sight or in the "suburbs".

My suburbs comment was meant to be tongue in cheek/sarcastic; since this is in the suburbs thread. Another uninspiring building on the Dartmouth Waterfront is the last thing we need in Dartmouth. JET

What ever happened? Was this moved to a future date? I haven't seen any activity near that area that would show a sign of this happening soon. Usually a sign with a rendering goes up or something.

I wonder if there has been design push back?

It has been over 8 months since any updates for this project. Can anyone confirm that it might be dead or under a new design?

A new design would be welcome, the old one was very boring

I'll check on it ASAP to confirm this.

I noticed that too. I guess I'll wait for confirmation to switch the status. It should be pretty noticeable when a crane goes up!

I'll move this thread to the downtown Halifax/Dartmouth section since it's will within the Circ.

This is going to be sitting just back from the rail line right? I'll see what it becomes but I would have preferred a slimmer building with more glass. I am excited as this may spark more development along the Narrows.

Checked the sight today and there is no construction activity. The site is still a unevenly sloped weed covered hill.

Can someone describe in a bit more detail where exactly on Windmill this is?

It's an odd site. Here's The Bing's Bird Eye View.

It's on the waterfront side of Windmill Road south of Albro Lake Road. It's an expansion of an existing lower-end apartment complex called Harbourshore (WM Apartments). The new building would be crammed in between the existing driveway and the waterfront rail tracks.

Odd indeed! Sounds like quite a few of the existing tenants will be losing their views.

I wonder if this one will be sped up a bit now? It's right across the water from the shipyards.

Not exactly the location of this project but there is some pretty severe excavation at the parking lot next to this. The parking lot at Grove St and Windmill has been dug down at least 2 or more levels and I saw mobile tower crane sitting in the hole. I have no idea what is happening there.
