^ View from the Window at Le Gras (taken with camera obscura) was from 1826.

But seeing as the first phase of Osgoode Hall was constructed between 1829 and 1830, it definitely wasn't taken in the 1820's. My guess would be around 1850.

You're right, I'm not sure when it was taken because most of the structures are just small wood homes.

Edit: the license plate is definitely 1937 followed by a crown. 1937 is the 1st time that crowns appeared on Ontario plates, positioned in the top left and right corners.
Edit:The car is a 1937 Chevrolet

What was that beauty they tore down for the Metro Centre/WTCC site? (about 8 stories tall three blocks below the Citadel just above City Hall)?

Also its cool how Downtown blends into the North-End so well ... Hopefully this will be the future as well (just with more height )

That was the Moirs Chocolate factory.

Maybe I'll make an annotated version sometime. There are a lot of interesting details. If you look closely near the foot of Sackville Street for example you can see one of the archways that used to exist along the waterfront. I believe there was also a stone one around what is now the Historic Properties area.

A couple of other landmark buildings that are now gone are the Custom House at the foot of George Street and the city market building on Market Street. The building at the corner of Hollis and George was the Victorian-era Royal Bank HQ. You can also see the "pentagon" building at the end of Granville Street.

I highly doubt that this pic is from the the 1930s. The plane pictured appears to be a Canadair North Star DC-4M, and these weren't manufactured until 1946, so that pic likely wasn't taken until 1946 or shortly thereafter.
