An Austin developer is planning to develop a two tower complex in the middle of Downtown Austin that would be a $500 million, 1.1 million square foot project. One tower would be 820 to 830 feet tall with 66 to 70 floors. That tower would contain a hotel and condominiums. A 2nd tower, a 420 foot, 30-story office tower with retail would also be built. Both towers would stand atop an 8-story 1,000 space parking garage. An additional 1,200 parking space garage with 8.500 square feet of retail would be built across the street. The complex is being designed by Cesar Pelli's firm Pelli Clarke Pelli.
