Wild that Toronto froze. Wasn't expecting that, I guess it's moreso Mississauga froze, less warming effect from Lake Ontario. I know this is true for a lot of weather station locations.

I'm not sure if Cobourg froze. The past 24 hour marker shows +0.9C, I know that's not the official number. I always ask and always forget how you find out the official number.

We got lucky, the sky was clear and the wind was almost non-existent, but as predicted by the weather models, there was a slight flow coming in off Lake Erie. The low was 2.1 at 2am and started to rise after that, it's now 7 degrees and sunny. All my plants and flowers appear to have survived without damage

But Windsor did fall though (at least the airport).

Everywhere would have fallen except along the lake. I'm nearly an hour from Windsor, the closest weather station to me is Cedar Springs

https://dd.weather.gc.ca/observations/swob-ml/

Go to the current date, then the station code, and then click on one of the most recent observations. There are lines of data in there for the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded over the past 24 hours.

For airport stations the code is just the airport code. For all other stations (e.g. Halifax Dockyard) EC has given them unique Cxxx codes. There's a csv somewhere in the directory that has all station names and their codes listed.

Sherbrooke and Quebec City likely gone as well. Halifax is on the fringe. Charlottetown and Sydney appear to be safe, as are Montreal. Kingston also appears to be safe too.

The values are published on the provincial summary pages if you click on "Today" it shows the min and max for this date (starting from 2am, not the past 24hrs). Tapping "Yesterday" shows the min and max from 2am -2am the previous day

There does appear to be some discrepancy; they do not have either Ottawa or Toronto freezing where the raw data printout does. Not sure what causes the discrepancy.

Yes you are right, they don't have the lowest low in all cases

Cobourg did not freeze, low was 0.5C. The provincial summary was showing 0.9, which is the same value that's shown when you go to the past 24 hours link.

Link for all of Canada so someone can double check other province . Unfortunately, the Canada page doesn't include every weather station , but it has the major ones so could work for the freeze list.

My backyard thermometer got down to -0.1C. There was a paper-thin layer of frost on the car windshield this morning. Nothing visible on the rooftops.

Ottawa got down to 0C (or -0.3) as has been said.

Gatineau's low was +1 so I am between the two as usual.

Québec City, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières were not even close to freezing last night, which shows the cold air hadn't reached that far east yet.

It was snowing in Edmonton earlier. I missed my connecting flight in Winnipeg due to wing de-icing in Edmonton.

Bah!
