So exciting news on One Bloor.

But I will hold back until they drill or dig something into the ground.

Hey I found the Face Palm! This one is good too -

So I check the diagram today, and The One is now listed in 3rd place, at 305.7 metres... where did that number come from?

This is also the last elevations I've seen

The roof height is 306.3 metres
The "stand in" for the parapet brings it up to 307.9 metres

IIRC, the zoning bylaw allows for a parapet to extend up to 315 to 320 metres.

Curious myself. It isn't even sourced. I'll ask the editor.

So I see they have begun digging The One, at what point can we move it to #1 on this list?

Re: One Bloor

Regardless of whether they build straight up or down, there will have to be some kind of shoring.

What's the estimated timeline for top-down construction commencement?

You can't dig a multi-storey hole at the corner of Yonge & Bloor without shoring. That's just prep. We're already going against the grain of forum policy in regards to under construction. Let's see some caissons go in.

Frankie just told you they aren't using the top down method. Top down still requires perimeter shoring. There's actually more prep before digging because they have to drill the caissons for the building's structure after the perimeter shoring is complete.

The creep/misogyny factor in the Canada section is off the chart. It's no wonder women don't feel comfortable here. Some teenaged boys and Donald Trump think it's ok but this type of thing has no place in a public forum.... or the adult world.

No, I get this sensitivity BS at work; I don't think there is anything offensive thus far.

This isn't sensitivity, it's calling out creepy behaviour.
