With the core pour taking place from the new concrete delivery area, a bottleneck seems apparent. The new area is quite tight, and getting the trucks in side-by side is difficult. It seems that the decking over the timbering (visible at the left) may need to be extended to allow easier access in as well as exiting the pump. (Wouldn't want the rear tandems of a loaded concrete truck to drop off the side of the ramp!!)

Concrete trucks side by side is a very tight fit wow. As for the construction elevator. Is this the start of another lift that will go up the building or are they starting to build a covered entrance to the lift.

Everytime I check the live cam, I see concrete trucks in action with lots of activity!

Checking out the 57th cam, but I don't see anything, blue prints show it along the wall, will it be closer to the 57 or 56 side? And you can't see crap from 56 cam, so im guessing the pool will be on the 56th side of the bldg correct? Damn they need to raise 56th..

The pool is on the 56th Street side. From the 57th Street cam the 2 stacks of decking on floor 9 is mostly blocking the pool area but Just to the right of the 2nd stack you can see a little of the lower deck peeking out. If you look at post#3939 the Park Ave cam you can see 2 deckings that were placed for the pool on the 56th side. They are just below the 9th floor level.

I can't quite tell from that photo, but Is it going to be a long Fiberglass pre-made, that their going to hoist up there, or is it a concrete pool? If you said you can see some of it, and nobodys mentioned a long ass pool being raised, I imagine it's concrete. I just wish we could see that from 56th cam, that just seems like it's going to be the most interesting phase so far.. From your blue print photo, it looks half the size, I thought it was supposed to go from nearly corner to corner, if the bldg is 100ft wide I figured at least 80 ft length in pool. That's what it looked like in previous diagrams; now it looks half, actually a 1/3 that size from the photo above. 30 feet is a small pool, it's gotta be bigger than that?

It is hard to tell the pool area now on the 57th Street cam since they stacked the decking on the west side of floor 9 and blocked the view. Once they deck out more of floor 9 it should be easy to see the lower pool area. The pool is 12'x71' We will need to wait to see how they construct it.

Even if the pool is fiberglass it will still need structural support beneath the fiberglass.

This image from 5/12/13 shows the area where the pool will sit just being decked in 2 areas. This decking is lower then floor 9 as you can see on the far side it falls below the next beam to be floor 9.

I highly doubt the pool will be fiberglass, concrete looks better firstly and given this is a very high end place I would not be surprised to see it in 1x1 tiles either.

Also from a repair stand point if something happened to the fibreglass shell certainly you can do minor repairs but something major you cannot just truck in a new shell haha.

The west end of the pool area can be seen on the 57th Street cam. Men can be seen walking around in it.

Do the shaded segments represent those with windows, while the unshaded ones represent open areas?

I believe no. Look at the future floors 16 and 17. They are the 1st open mechanical floors above the ground. They are shaded just like the floors below them.

Yeah you're right, usually if a fiberglass pool gets damaged, it's done, my pool is fiberglass, and everybody says you do not want to damage it or you might as well pull the whole thing out,, and that would be like 20 grand to replace. My pool is 12x26, It's comfortable for 8 to 10 people, this is only 3 times the length as mind, that's not going to hold many people, especially if 10 tenants and their families want to use it.. Ain't gonna be big enough 4 that, unless their building a couple more as they go up, but I thought this was it.

I think floor 9 is the only pool. This post was from last year. No pools between 62 and 83

Tons of workers on site this morning wow. Also looking at the 56th street cam my god it is tight working conditions. Concrete truck sitting there with a flat bed unloading at the service elevator literally almost touching each other.
