Perfectly fine, everyone has their opinion. But let's not act like NYC is some how immune to the shiny bright lights! There's always been light on the skyline, and it's always been a place where lights were flashy! That's New York City. It's the home of Times Square! But other than that, it's time the skyline started reflecting the current times. It's not 1925, it's 2025. Buildings are big and flashy. You can so so much more with lighting. They used to shoot lasers of the top of the Twin Towers.

I am with you. Tacky tacky tacky. Not at all fitting for this bank and this tower. Alas, that is the direction skyscrapers are going.

What I am Most Concerned About is with LEDs to this extent, is the entire top two tiers can now have Words; Signage; Logo; Advertising! Great Towers in places like LA are already defaced day and night with the likes of the "US Bank" sign on the once beautiful crown of the Library Tower (US Bank Tower). I understand evolving into 2025, however, at 62 years old, I feel current hyper advertising/signage and constant over stimulation has not been a net gain for our society either. Our skylines do not need to add to this IMO.

^Thank you for brining up the twin towers laser lighting, I swear there's only two photos of that on the internet. But the 1925 amd 2025 comparison...absolutely spot on. Billionaires Row was supposed to feature interesting lighting but they're left on the dark like Chrysler when first built

Yeah, that's an old memory from back in the 90's. I sometimes wonder what they would be doing up there today. the billionaires row towers are hard to figure out. Sometimes they are on, sometimes not. Even old fashioned lighting would work on those towers, but you hardly see it.

Did not realize the light shows would be so epic, that's a nice surprise.

If 350 & 175 get built I hope they have some crazy shows on their crown so we can look like Shenzhen or Dubai.

That lobby is gonna be sick! Standing at the base of this tower looking into the lobby is going to be such a wonderful experience. It is going to overwhelm! In the best way possible.

I like the way the building sort of floats above.

Too true.... SICK!

I've walked pass the base several times (as it's on my way to work) and I cannot remember being in such AWE of how great this base is gonna look once finished. It may be the greatest base level presentation in NYC, just freaking incredible on the streetscape.

The only one that comes close would be the projections of how amazing 175 Park Ave's elegantly presented base would look adjacent with Grand Central Terminal's grandeur.

That was the original proposal, but the NIMBYs resisted. Hopefully they can now push through a whole shutdown.
