That looks great. It could stand to be a few hundred feet taller but it really looks great in that location.

Reid Murdoch tower looks awesome. I wish some of those interesting angles made it to the south facade but glad to see a such a nice proposal to add to the river canyon.

I couldn't seem to tell definitively - does the R-M project include capping Carol Street fully between Lasalle and Clark or doing anything along those lines?

They really should coordinate with the powers-that-be to cap the whole thing. Include a small one way road for the hotel valet, and have a park over the rest of it. Some green space over there would be nice.

It's not unfortunate. It's cool to see some industrial past of Chicago.

^ I agree.

The Reid Murdoch tower is fantastic. Who's the architect again? Is it HOK?
If so, I have to say - I didn't know they had it in 'em.....this is really good stuff......I look forward to hopefully swift entitlement obtainment and aggressive project timetable!

There are always a bunch of cars parked there, so it's basically a parking lot sunken below street level.

20' of that will now be hidden by the drive that will connect Clark to LaSalle.

Developer to turn Michigan Avenue eyesore into upscale hotel
A long-vacant, century-old high-rise near Millennium Park is being converted from an eyesore into an upscale boutique hotel.
The addition looks a lot better than the previous "top hat" design - I'm guessing they replaced Coffey as architect.

I hope the northern side of the building isn't left as a giant blank wall
