Unhappy Lighting

Does anyone know when the lights go on? And have there been any mock ups of the lighting design? Anyone?

As for the date. I'm thinking at the opening. There are also some mock ups many pages back showing the logo on the top at night.

Will this thread have to be closed for this silly argument to end? I hope not. Get back on topic.

Rotating beacon like the Eiffel Tower beacon would be cool

Eiffel Tower looks cool with the rotating beacon. Wilshire Grand should have a rotating beacon at the top of the spire.

I agree. All this L.A. vs. S.F. nonsense is dumb. LA is lucky to have WG & SF is lucky to have Salesforce. Celebrate them both, and both SF & LA skylines are great (but NYC is always #1 of course NYguy)

Rotating beacon on top of the spire like the Eiffel Tower?

There could be 3 beams, red, white & blue. At least on patriotic holidays. Supercool.

WG should have a 6000 watt crown jewel at the tip of the spire just like Transamerica Pyramid. Instead of the crown jewel being lit white on special occasions, they should do it in different colors depending on the holiday and/or events.

4th of July: Red, white & blue spire with the tip shining red
Christmas season: Green & red spire with the tip shining green
Dodgers in the playoffs: Blue & white spire with the tip shining blue
Lakers in the playoffs: Purple & gold spire with the tip shining purple

Etc...

Actually the entire crown was designed to light up according to special events and holidays just like the US bank tower so they beat you to it :p

I was referring to the tip of the spire (the perforated aluminum section of the spire). Would be sweet if the tip of the spire shines as bright as the Transamerica Pyramid, but in color.
