W hotel set to open, joining hospitality sibling Element in Center City highrise

More than six years after work began on the recently completed hotel tower near City Hall in Center City, all of its guest rooms are set to welcome visitors.
The second of the two hotels planned at the 51-story building at 15th and Chestnut Streets ― the 295-room W Philadelphia ― is scheduled to open Friday, the hotel said in a release.
The upscale W hotel will join its sibling under the Marriott International umbrella, the Element by Westin, which opened a separate 460-room hotel within the building in May. The Element is an “extended-stay” hotel, with rooms that include features such as stove tops and large refrigerators marketed at guests planning stays of more than a few days.
The W and Element’s collective 755 rooms will make the tower the third-largest hotel property in Center City, after the 1,408-room Marriott Philadelphia Downtown and the 757-room Sheraton Hotel Philadelphia Downtown.
The W Philadelphia’s most expensive guestrooms — dubbed the “Wow and Extreme Wow Suites” by the hotel — will feature foosball and billiard tables, as well as in-room DJ booths, the hotel said.
So I finally had my stay-cation at the W this weekend!
Got a corner suite on the 40th Floor. The hotel is stunning! The Lobby Bar / Lounge was on par with a New York setup, and the 7th floor spa, bar, pool and pool deck were awesome! This (and the 4 Seasons really stepped up the Philadelphia hotel scene). The staff and service was also exceptional.
The city also felt quite lively, and we ate at some fantastic restaurants!
FYI: I am from Media, PA, lived in the city for 8 years, but moved to NYC 6 years ago. I visit Philadelphia often for work but haven't had a full weekend trip since 2019! My boyfriend (from Chicago) was with me, his 2nd time in Philadelphia. He loves it. He loves the food, historic sites, architecture and laughs at the increased brashness that you don't find in Chicago (similar to the New York attitude).
We also managed to see the naked bike ride, which was awesome.
How do I add pictures to a post? (sorry I am bad with this site).

Upload your photos on imgur.com (it's free, and no need to set up and use an account), right click on the photo on imgur.com and copy the image address, then click on the "Insert Image" button above the SkyscraperPage posting window (looks like mountains with the sun in the upper right) and paste the imgur.com image address into the popup, click "OK," and then click "Submit Reply."
But ONLY if your photos include the naked bike ride.
Yeah, so what should we call it other than a journey? A saga, odessey or an ordeal? Wow, it was truly like watching grass grow. Hopefully this hotel (after taxpayer investment) will bring Philly to greener pastures.

Thanks! Still not working.
I dragged my photos into that website, copied the link. Hit the little insert pic icon, pasted URL, hit post, and its blank. I'll look into this more after work.

Did you right-click on the photo itself in imgur and then left-click where it says "copy image address" in the pop-up list? That's what usually works for me.

Yay, thank you! In order from top... Lobby Lounge, our room (sorry for mess), our view with welcome champagne, pool deck, amazing pool tile, and pool bar. The pool deck also stretches around on 15th Street, great spot for a nice party. And lastly, the naked bike ride at Rittenhouse
Haha. I'll never forget the first time we were treated ti the naked bike ride. We were sitting in La Scalas on 7the and Chestnut and they rode by. The place went crazy. Haha

The W look amazing.
Yea, I actaully saw the first ride on South Street 10ish years ago. I was with my parents, lol. I always get a great laugh when I see it. So funny watching the confusion and laughter of outdoor diners when they go through Rittenhouse.
And yea! You should definitely check out the Lobby Bar on a weekend night.
