I like how they are already marking off spots over the tracks with paint. Wasting no time here

Is there any first-hand knowledge saying the track-level work is related to the building? Some of those markings seem further down than the park would be going.

The RFQ for platform 28/29, which includes expanding Union Station concourse beneath/adjacent to the tracks with the markings and shifting/removing some tracks announced selection of qualified candidates recently. It's not unusual to get an onsite inspection/survey period pretty quickly when timelines are short.

That said, I could see them installing some of the vertical supports while GO already has tracks out of service.

They are upgrading the signalling and switch system in the USRC right now too, might be related to that. Once it's done in a few years it is supposed to really speed up train speeds in and out of the station. Considering that they absolutely crawl now, it's badly needed.

Telus Sky was testing some lighting the other day. I think this could make up for the shittiness of the lighting on Brookfield Place.

That looks great, will it go all the way up? Also the lighting at Brookfield is fine, you don't want to over do it with lighting all over the place.

Have you seen it? Brookfield lighting (if it is the actual lighting) is not fine. It doesn't light the whole penthouse and there are gaps between the lit areas as well.

Yes I have and it doesn't look like it ready yet. how long did it take Trump to get it's lighting element up and running?

The point is it currently sucks ass. Obviously, I don't think this is the final lighting scheme but, that's beside the point.

Yes I think it should be the same all the way to the top based on renderings.

That crown lighting looks temporary. We're still working on the lightbox feature on my building, and getting a shadow-less light wash that doesn't fade further from the source is surprisingly difficult to achieve

The tower itself looks spectacular. Love the simple elegance of it. Way nicer than anything else going up in the province right now
