Probably more along the lines of this version...or a 5-story stick monster.

DenverInfill... It would at the least be out of character but one never knows?

denconyny... Thanks, I was looking at the lot across the street to the north.
Can't tell you how many times I found myself on the wrong side of the street.

Carmel Partners is building a tower in LA that's kind of cool... You never know...

I think Geller would want too much money for the property to make a 5-story building pencil out.

I think the PUD for the property also has some strict design standards.

RyanD... Keen minds... nice find.
and as rds70 explains a 5-story would make no sense there.
Maybe Geller was fond of his dad? I don't even know who is running Carmel now, one son, two?

5 stories doesn't make sense there also because (1.) land value will be very high and, (2.) the site is relatively small/triangular shaped, which wouldn't work for that type of development. I supported the approval of the 30-story tower back when Geller was trying to get that approved through the city. It's far enough from the historic LoDo buildings to not be incompatible; in fact, I think it offers a counterpoint for that helps define the historic district's scale.

Completely agree. Having LoDo completely surrounded by towers / high-rises would be a cool 'frame' for the historic district.

Thanks TakeFive. Gotta be optimistic sometimes!

It was more of a joke about the 5 stories, the new name includes "tower" so one would have to assume it will be of significant height. Here's to hoping something good/great gets built here!

Accurate guess. I actually need to fly my drone for certain purposes. So yes... If the weather keeps, Ryan will be flying and taking pictures of all the fun Doors Open Denver festivities today and tomorrow.

Here's a pretty picture I took last night of a view that's going to change twice!

Now we know why Stonemans_rowJ avoids shopping at IKEA.
He wants to avoid the cost of therapy. Very wise.

haha I've only been there once to look at kitchens, but we kind of felt like cattle being prodded through the chute, because you kind of get in a surge of people, or like when the Broncos game lets out.

I am a huge fan of their kitchen cabinetry with semi-handmade doors.

Thanks plansit.

I like the looks of that project, and also am thrilled to see that it won't be a stick build
