How does winnipeg have a slight edge when you're just showing north side of the river in Edmonron there are many mid rises on the south side some in west end as well also even in the immediate downtowns winnipeg with 154 structures Edmonton with 302 ?More like slight bias against Edmonton.

Map includes all high rises in Edmonton. You may have to zoom out to see them all. Hard to define Edmonton's core skyline. I choose to include the University and Strathcona. Others may not.

I couldn't find some of those on google maps, but I am willing to admit I didn't explore either city in totality. (Winnipeg lacked day passes for transit, Edmonton only had one rapid transit line and I was trying to buy a new camera which took up too much time.)

Century Park is at one end of the LRT. The area around Jasper and 82nd St, near Stadium Station is another non-core cluster (though closer in to the core). Southgate/Empire Park also has some decent density with multifamily developments. Also Belvedere and the Ford Road area has some high rises.

Other clusters not on the LRT and away from Downtown-Oliver and University-Strathcona in Edmonton...

That wasn't the question. The question was who had more outside of the skyline. It seems to depend on how you count U of A.

Phase 2 of Riverwalk Condos being built just east of the old Plummer Hospital.

From Sootoday:

The second phase of Amit Sofer's Riverwalk condominiun development will be a four-storey, 59-unit building just east of what used to be the main five-storey building of Plummer Hospital.

City Council approved Planning Act exemptions tonight for the new condominiums.

Sofer plans to add two floors to a two-storey building originally connected by a glass lobby to the five-story main Plummer building that Sofer's TVM Sault Inc. is currently converting into 40 condominiums.

That first phase of the Riverwalk project is now sold out, Sofer told city councillors tonight.

The glass lobby that originally linked the two hospital structures has been demolished.

The new condo building will offer a movie theatre, fitness area, indoor and outdoor parking and direct access to the Hub Trail.

Suites are all two-bedroom, with high ceilings, stone countertops, balconies and stainless steel appliances.

They range in size from to 967 square feet to 2,000 square feet.
