This looks quite a bit different from the last rendering we saw, in my opinion.

Honestly, it looks like a darker version of Aloft/Element.

I am not mad about this one! I do hate the criss cross window thing....Seems like such a 2010's trend that I want to goooooooo. Overall, great impact for that area....perhaps it'll be a big activator as well.

Yeah I agree, that is one design trend that probably won't age well over time.
It certainly isn't terrible, but just feels a little hokey.

Side note, is it normal construction practice to start hanging the curtain wall before the tower is even topped out? Just seems like you'd be risking something banging into the windows while hoisting things up to the upper floors.

You're right, it's much more Aloft/Element than originally advertised. I thought it was going to be a mini-JW from top to bottom. More glass curtain wall, less staggered windowpanes.

Its better to risk a few panes of glass than missing your timeline. This is standard on every construction project I've ever seen.

Soon the only part of the Fairmont that will be visible from this view will be the spire.

Also I think Parsley will be visible from this view no? I think I can see its crane sticking up just a bit to the left of the silicon labs buildings.

I'm sorry but when I read you're first sentence, I imagined a French speaking person when they start a first person sentence then finish it as a question by saying No?
