Long time listener here, and I believe I can help out with some of this.
Greeley:
UNC Campus Commons had its groundbreaking on October 22. As of now, actual work has yet to begin.
Downtown Hotel is topped out with 6 floors of concrete and steel for the conference center.
Fire Station 1 is beginning to rise with CMU framework.
Fort Collins:
The new CSU stadium, biology, chemistry and Wellness Center buildings are all topped out and completing exterior elements.
The Elizabeth Hotel (in Old Town) is rising with poured concrete.
Uncommon Fort Collins (The old Perkins location on College) is rising as well.

I live/work in the Greeley/FoCo area and have been interested in construction for a long time.

Hope this helps, Cheers!

Tons going on here. Particularly around Campus West and the area adjacent to CSU’s New Stadium. I like the freedom architects have with development in these areas. The mountain and contemporary architecture would never fly downtown. People really struggle accepting anything other than Victorian architecture here.

Here’s a quick rundown of some of they developments happening in the Campus West neighborhood. I finally have some time off. Hopefully I can snap some construction pics in the next few days. Downtown and Midtown happenings to follow.

Campus West Update

The Standard

ADDRESS: 775 West Lake Street
FLOORS: 5
USE: Residential & Retail
STATUS: Final Planning

Of the many large scale developments in the works, “The Standard” is the largest. This project is directly across from CSU’s new stadium and will require the demolition of six single family homes and three 60’s era multifamily apartment buildings. The Standard’s two buildings are both 5 floors in height with 245 residential units between them. The building fronting Lake Street and the stadium will feature ground floor retail. This development is surrounded by several other projects including The Stadium Apartments and The Aspen Apartments.

Building B fronting Lake Street:

Building A fronting Prospect Road:

Stadium Apartments

ADDRESS: 821 West Lake Street
FLOORS: 5
USE: Residential
STATUS: Permitting

This development has sped its way through development review and is now in permitting. Fronting CSU’s new stadium, The Stadium Apartments are adjacent to several other developments, including “The Standard” and “ Aspen Leaf Apartments.” This project has a total of 102 residential units. It replaces a vacant Christian school.

The Stadium Apartments facing Lake Street:

Aspen Leaf Apartments

ADDRESS: 808 West Prospect Road
FLOORS: 3
USE: Residential
STATUS: Construction

The “Aspen Leaf Apartments” is a smaller development under construction on Prospect Road. It features 62 residential units in one, three story building. It replaces an abandon construction site left over from The Great Recession adjacent to CSU’s new stadium. The Aspen Leaf Apartments are adjacent to several other developments, including “The Standard” and “The Stadium Apartments”

The Aspen Leaf Apartments facing Prospect Road:

Plum Street Apartments

ADDRESS: 1303 West Plum Street
FLOORS: 5
USE: Residential
STATUS: Permitting

In a sea of recent development, The yet unnamed project at 1303 Plum Street emerges. This development features 63 residential units. It replaces the last 8 single family homes remaining on this stretch of Plum Street. The other 25+ homes were removed for The District and Lokal.

The Plum Street Apartments at the corner of City Park Ave and Plum Street:

West Elizabeth Apartments

ADDRESS: 1208 West Elizabeth
FLOORS: 5
USE: Residential & Retail
STATUS: Preliminary Design Review

Another unnamed mixed-use projects is in the works on the same block as the above mentioned development but this time fronting Elizabeth Street. 1208 West Elizabeth will feature 80 apartments and ground floor retail. This site currently contains a church.

West Elizabeth Apartments:

The Hub on Campus

ADDRESS: 1415 West Elizabeth
FLOORS: 4, 5, & 6
USE: Residential & Retail
STATUS: Design Review

The most recently announced project in the Campus West neighborhood is “The Hub.” This development replaces the CB&Potts restaurant which recently relocated to Foothills. The Hub features 219 apartments and nearly 10,000 square feet of retail. I like the direction the architecture is going with this development.

Here's a recent picture of CSU's new stadium with some of the area projects outlined. The area outlined in red is The Stadium construction site. The green area is The Aspen Leaf project's site. The area in blue is The Standard's site.

Probably the last time was when the USOC building was done in 2010.

Hey, a tower crane every six years is positively awesome for Sprawlorado Springs!

You're probably right, and great nickname. With the Interquest and Powers areas continuing to garner the bulk of development, it feels like a big suburb down here.

Good to hear the downtown project is still a go, they cleared the parking lot this summer and then activity stopped. It'll be interesting to see how the I-25 & North Powers interchange plans move forward now that Interquest development is in full swing. I know there's a project waiting to be executed, but I'm at a loss for where and how it's going to happen.

I am really excited for this project. They did Block One across the street, which I think is a cool looking building with a good look for that part of town. The lots around there are a bit blighted, but are slowly getting updated with new construction. And perhaps once this is finished, the city will actually move forward with redoing Willow street.

That's a shame. I can't comment because I can't be kind.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but seeing as I might be heading to Boulder for graduate school in aerospace engineering I thought I might share something I saw on the department website. I did a quick search on the forum and didn't see anything about it.

Looks like the AES department at CU is trying to fund a new 139,000 square foot building on East Campus.
