This is a great project and one of my favorite little cluster of buildings in Winnipeg. I believe that Nadi Urban Design Studio will be moving into the space.

Good news tid-bit. A new Access health centre (Access St Boniface) will be built on the vacant lot at the corner of Goulet and Kenny. It is proposed as a 4 storey building. I do find it strange that it is so close to the St B Hospital but it does offer a different level of service. Either way it fills in a surface lot and helps complete the street-scape on Goulet heading into downtown with a nicely scaled building.

thats correct, nadi will be moving into the 3rd floor and half of the second floor, and i believe a drafting company is taking the other half of the second floor with the main floor still up for grabs

Manitoban Korean Presbyterian Church at the corner of Dufferin and Salter is expanding -- looks like it's going to add some Korean flair to the North End.

With expansion (second last page)

I just hope it looks as authentic when they actually build it.

^ Wow, that looks impressive, and it will look good coming off the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge. I didn't realize that there was much of a Buddhist population in the North End/Central areas...

Incidentally, does anyone remember what that building was originally built for? It's fairly young by North End standards... looks like it must be date back to the late 80s/early 90s. It has been a Korean congregation for several years now.

I remember driving by this bldg. for many years. Was it possibley a centre for aboriginal culture, before it became a centre for the korean faith(s), buddhist, christian...It's been a while since I worked out of a building on Selkirk Ave. But I can't recall what it was?

But the render of the expansion looks great!

was a united church for yrs then became a daycare for the longest time then sat empty unused for a bit good to hear theres some movement on that property and the empty lot behind it that was a garage that was half falling down for yrs

on another note
heres a view from the 21st floor of place lious riel as i was wiring up some lights today

Seeing as how I'm quitting/getting my ass kicked out of the Shark Club, I shall definitely look up for a job opporitunity there when it opens. Thanks for letting me know

once they finish installing the new roof with hooks to hang from to wash the windows i might wander up to the top and see how it looks during coffe tomarrow or somthing

No news yet, however the developers have been tweeting that September 6th is a big day, possibly a reveal of what it will look like.
The project does not yet have an official name, it's just called "live work play winnipeg".

Posted about it over on the retail thread but figured would sahre it here too - there is fresh activity happening at the WestPort Festival site. This could be the start of the retail development there and looks like they might be constructed a temporarily road at the Camp Manitou Rd light for site access. The north facing traffic light though is a potential red herring as it has long been there though it is rather convient.
