Trying to translate this old 2010 map into what is happening today, with all the dirt moving and structures rising. I think the Block 1 structure will be the 38 story "Northshore" building, right? But I'm not sure how tall the structures on the parcels labeled as Block 23, 185 and 188 are scheduled to be. Can someone tell me?

Block 23 is the 28-story 400' 500 W 2nd St office tower a.k.a. the Google tower. Block 188 is the Austin Proper Hotel and Condos which will be close to 400'. Block 185 is slated to be a fraternal twin to Northshore on Block 1.

Penis envy...Yes. Bitter, probably. However, I do love Austin and this forum.

At least I can speak my mind without being silenced (or edited) by SIRKINGWILLIAM; who,by the way, thinks he's king of the world! What an ass.

Furthermore, SA does not have any high-rise development going on. So, I must envy my neighbor to the north.

I want to see tall buildings. Especially in a place I within 2 hours of my home. I get upset when they are "downgraded." For that, I apologize.

Someone else has already mentioned it...but, three clusters of towers encircling a single tower of almost 700' will be really cool to see. Just hope they all get built.

I do not even like visiting the S.A. forum because of SKW. He gives me warning points for "hurting his feelings" and deletes posts that mention Austin.

I've never really poked around the SA forum, so I can't comment on that. But if it's true (not calling y'all liars), that's unfortunate. There's no reason for SA and Austin to be hostile toward each other.

If this happens again, please let me know right away what thread it's happening in.

Kevin,

He does it ALL THE TIME (on every thread in the SA forum)!!! With as much infill that is going on in SA, one might think there would be far more people checking it out. So, why do you think, at any given moment, there are at least twice as many people reviewing the Austin page than there are the SA page (at this very second it is 51 viewers to 9).

The guy is an ass and should be banned from this website. How he achieved moderator status is way beyond my belief. The person who gave him that power should be questioned. He actually goes in and edits things that people say, in addition to completely removing posts which do not conform to his beliefs.

SIRKINGWILLIAM has to be the end-all-be-all of development information on SA. His word is "law" and should never, ever be challenged. AND...don't ever, ever say anything about Austin in "his" sub-forums!!! Oh, and another thing...don't ever try to call him out publicly! He hates that. Guess that is a sign that he knows he's an ass and is in the wrong.

Kevin...Thank you! Thank you for creating a place where we can all share our thoughts without fear of being edited or erased (not matter if it is pro-Austin or anti-Austin). You allow us to exercise our freedom of speech. At many levels, I feel as if my freedoms have been stolen by SKW.

This is exactly the reason why, even when I lived in San Antonio for 6 years, I did not participate in the SA subforum. He's a horrible forum participant and makes me look flat out like the nicest person (and that's tough to do).

wwmiv, I've never had any other impression of you other than a nice person. You're just brutally honest and confident in your opinions and views. I can totally respect that.

Likewise, I respect people who adamantly disagree with me, so long as they're respectful in the process. Kind of like the the principle of "I don't agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
