Hey if I had that amount of money I would buy a condo like this.
austin- Thank you. I plan to add many more tall art deco's. I'm just a big box fan.
Alek- Thank you. The prices are about right. I'm sure in real life they'd be more expensive being everything you said (which is true), but I didn't want to get too insane with the prices.

I took some figures from Trump World Tower to get an estimate for prices:

-In TWT, on the top floor, there are 4 penthouses worth $14 million each.
-When you take into account that all the penthouses in the Vornado Building are 1 floor units, I just did a little multiplication. If anything they are cheap (Vornado's penthouses) for their size and location.

Here is a view from the top Penthouse:

Not a bad view to wake up to.

Exclamation Billboards

I finished 1616 Broadway, but I'm going to post an update of it tomorrow. Here are just some more billboards I made in Hutchinson Square.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

This particular one is an electronic screen. In addition to Scotia Bank, 9 other companies advertise in the cycle.

Enjoy!

Those are so cool. the shape of the buildings really makes the bill boards stand out. Reminds me of when we went to NY We stayed in a hotel right on the square. To bad we never made it farther out,to the twins I only remember them looming on the skyline every where we went Ive had some bad timing on my many trips. we missed 9/11 by months and we were actaully in the air on the way to D.C. we thee U.S. Invaded Iraq.
So that was a bit oftopic, but ok

hey,is does Echo theater have anything to do with the Echo company in SF?

Thank you Alek. I cannot stand theater either, nor RENT for the matter. I just put it up there because it's a popular musical.

Thumbs up Todays Update:

1616 Broadway: was completed in 1973 in part to promote the development of Hutchinson Square. The building is home to the Panasonic Theater, which is located at the West base of the building. Vh1 has studios in the East side of the base. Sinage that comes with the buildng includes and electronic vh1 sign that plays music videos, music tickers, and a Verizon Billboard. There is a patio ontop of the base which is utilized by vh1, for when bands come to play. The main tenant that occupies the tower itself, is AXA Equitable.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(scroll right all the way down)

The base of 1616 Broadway:

The design concept of the building was inspired by 1 Astor Plaza.

Looking down Broadway from Monument Square:

Enjoy guys!

Yeah, very nice. I agree, you don't have t but if you want to it's okay. Adding a lot of detail is not only good for making a city look real but it also takes time so people don't get bored and see something diff. every time they check a city out.

Anyways, the base of 1616 Broadway is really nice and creative but the tower doesn't seem to go with the colors of the base. Well only the black because the turquoise look good.

austin- Thank you! It's okay, I like like doing it.
Alek- Thank you! Adding the detail is fun, especially for this area. The colors on the bottom (if your talking about the vh1 screen) change, do to it being and electronic screen. It suppose to look wacky and retro to represent the time from when it was built.

Timeline

Ok, I just finished about 5 hours worth of homework, so I'm going to unwind with a little sketch-up. I'll have an update for you guys later on tonight, but for now I want to just give a timeline of what will be built:

(Dec.- Jan.)
-Finish Hutchinson Square
-Work on infastructure (The Hutchinson Bay Bridge, Hutchinson Parkway, Hutchinson River Drive, Dyckman Avenue rail, The Downtown Interchange, The Andaman Tunnel, The Nikobar Tunnel, and the Cross Hutchinson Expressway).

(Feb.-Apr.)
-Downtown/Financial District
-Minor Infastructure work

(May.- Aug.)
-Back to Midtown
-Convention Center
-Stadium City
-St. Marks Island
-Hutchinson Island
-The Stadium

(Aug. - until the time I graduate)
-Will see how far I get

Here is just a sneak peak of The Hutchinson Bay Bridge:
