I consider myself a foodie (and increasingly so), but he can fuck off (not necessarily a declaration of love for Olive Garden; we don't seem to have them up here). Unfortunately for him, New Yorkers probably consider it tolerable.

I can't stand listening to highlights of the Sandusky trial. I don't like/can't stand kids, but hearing about ruined childhoods under those alleged circumstances (or any circumstances, for that matter) hit a little too close to home.

Anybody else catch any of Shameless on Showtime? There's some great exterior shots of Chicago grit and the Pink Line L, and Emmy Rossum isn't bad on the eyes either.

I like his post where he mentions that all quick food in all of Midtown Manhattan is crap or he's tired of it.......REALLY?! In ALL of Midtown you can't find a decent, quick restaurant? That's not discussing good/bad places to eat, that's saying "Hey everybody, look at how jaded and worldly I am."

Furry Canuck (old name) just told a guy that every post he has made has been idiotic and moronic. He also said "I can't call you names" as he reported the other guy's post. I wouldn't go as far as saying Furry should be banned, or even suspended (mostly because he knows all about Calgary's food scene), but he sure is grating. He just seems like he's perpetually PMSing.

Tropics, the guy he's attacking, isn't somebody I usually agree with, but to call his posts worthless is a bit of a stretch. His (not often very well thought out) ideas have sparked some decent conversation over the past however many months it's been since he joined (such as removing the freight tracks from downtown and replacing it with a canal or simply greenspace). It's just Rusty being Rusty; I usually just ignore him outside the food thread.

Considering all the stuff that happened between me and Stanzi, it might surprise people to know that my weird spat with Furrycanuck is the only time where I felt so afraid for my personal safety that I had to involve admins to mediate the dispute. Considering what he said in that PM, he actually should have been banned.
