Much cooler day out there. Cloudy and 16 at just before 1pm. Not much change expected this afternoon.

A nice one-day cooldown is really nice after a hot day. Back to summer again tomorrow.

29C with a humidex of 35 and sunny. Just the usual warm summer day.

Low of 20C (humidex of 27) this morning. Another tropical low.

The warmspot was Osoyoos, BC at 38.5C

Warmest low was Harrow, ON at 22.9C.

I was surprised to see Toronto under a heat warning. Both highs and lows were lower than in Montreal which had no warning.

Day after day of cloudless skies. Getting very dry.

Sunday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 27 C (29 C w/Humidex), the low was 16 C.

Skies finally clearing, a mix of sun and cloud and 20 at just before 12pm. Highs near 22 this afternoon.

Highs from tomorrow onward at YYT (It's usually about 2 degrees warmer at my house): 26 24 26 22 24 23

Real nice stretch of weather.

28C (humidex 35) in Moncton at 11 AM. Pretty hot and sticky out.

Still calling for a high of 30C (humidex 37) this afternoon. I think it will go higher.

Raining again. We've had some rain on 5 of the past 6 days.

I won't go so far as to say this has been a bad summer (2017 takes the cake for that!) but it's definitely below average. It hasn't been too cold or too hot, but it's been wet. We're barely halfway through the year and we've already had 579 mm of precipitation - or about 70% of what we would get in an average year. By the end of this week we'll probably exceed the total precipitation we had in all of 2007 (593 mm).

It's hot.

And a little ride downtown. Too lazy to edit it. Just mute it and speed it up yourself if you watch lol

Two unrelated notes: At least 1/3rd of the European Grindr guys on the cruise ships think they're in Halifax. Two separate neighbours asked me if I had "my parade", or if I was "gay marching". They're clearly trying to be kind, welcoming, but cracked me up. A girlfriend's boyfriend called them "skeethearts" and I love that.

Sad... EC kept the heat warning for Toronto and when they realized how incredibly stupid they were they removed it later in the afternoon. Toronto was 23C this afternoon under the heat warning.

Montreal on the other hand, was without heat warning until about noon when they finally woke up.

Jesus christ, I, an amateur, can do a better job than them. How about we fire everyone working there. Me and Metro will manage EC (along with 3-4 of the more knowledgeable people in here).
Or make it a subdivison of the NWS. Both better options.

23C (humidex 29) at 9 AM in Moncton, going up to 29C (humidex 39) this afternoon with thunderstorms later in the day due to daytime heating, uplift, and generous available fuel (high humidity levels).

Very tropical feeling out there.

Sun and cloud and 26 (humidex 33, dew point 20) at 10:30am. Highs today were only expected to be around 27-28, but if it's already this warm out we could be making a push for 30 this afternoon, at least at my house.

This was surprising to me. Friday I drove to Kingston. Next day to Cornwall and Ottawa. Left Ottawa Monday and drove home via Ottawa Valley and north of Kingston and peterborough etc. Only saw rain for like 15 minutes on that drove back. Nothing else the whole time. My wife told me no need to water grass as it was raining everyday.

Here I am now after dropping off the rental and taking bus back home. Pouring. Most people around do not have an umbrella and I don’t think I’ve seen a pair of rain boots other than mine.

Heat continues, yesterday was sunshine and 36.4c....Much of the same today with a forecast of 37c and sun. 9th day in a row of 33+ temps.

Looks like some relief is on the horizon next week with potential highs dropping to the High 20s, bit more seasonal.

I feel like rain is very localized every summer, and different years are bad for different cities in Ontario and Quebec.

If I'm not mistaken, last year was just terrible for Montreal. And the year before that was terrible for Ottawa. I guess this year it's the GTA's turn.

I'm typing this as it's raining buckets outside. We're expecting something like 20-40 mm of rain per hour.
