Sun is starting to break through here in town.

Sunny and 23 (humidex 28, dew point 18) at just before 11am. Beautiful summer morning. Highs near 26-27 this afternoon.

25C and a sweltering humidex of 33 in Moncton already at 10 AM. They are only predicting a high of 28C (humidex 37) this afternoon, but, I don't believe it. I think we will blow through that easily. Showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon and this evening.

I went to Costco this morning at 930 to get some propane for the BBQ. Is Costco ever not busy??? Jesus Christ.

The heat wave continues for the next three days. Highs of 31C expected, with humidex readings of 38-40.

Summer is here.

Quebec is odd, they're the only place in Canada where heat warning criteria does not include overnight temperatures. I think it may have something to do with it being based on the provincial INSPQ system over anything that Environment Canada had implemented.

QC heat warning criteria is at least 1 hour of either 40 degree air temperature, or 30 degree air temperature and 40 humidex.

Everywhere else is a combination of daily highs exceeding a temperature AND overnight lows exceeding a temperature, OR a maximum humidex value (humidex is excluded from some warning criteria in BC).

It would be interesting to know what the heat warning criteria are for Iqaluit, or, Resolute, or Alert.........

The next three days in Moncton are 30C (low 18C), 31C (low 18C) and 31C (low 20C)

There are no heat warning criteria for Nunavut or northern Quebec. I'm guessing there's no chance of Iqaluit or Alert having what many others would consider to be a nice summer day

Newfoundland or Alberta/northern Saskatchewan/interior northern BC have the lowest threshold for heat warnings depending on how you look at it. NL is 2 days of 28 degree highs and lows above 16. AB/SK/N.BC is 2 days of 29 degrees, but lows above only 14.

Summery day, especially with a nice lake breeze.

These were taken along some bluffs at the south of Courtice near the Darlington Nuclear plant. There is some pretty good height to these bluffs but perspective is always tough in photos.

29C at my place, and it certainly feels like it. I was going to mow but I wouldn't survive it. I'm now up to five neighbours whose houses I weedwhack the front of, and just did that. I've been inside in the shade for five minutes and I'm still sweating as though as I was currently running lol

I've reached my limit with the nonsense kind of disturbance. The kind with no entertainment value, or attractive people involved lol. Two idiots around the crackhouse spending 20 minutes screeching at each other so loud that I called the police. Took them about two minutes to arrive.

Missus was on my front step drinking lol. I asked her to leave and the skeet across the street who tried to break into my house came out to rescue the booze missus dropped lol

There’s always a panhandler at the Bayfield exit of the 400 in Barrie or at least one or two sketchy people walking by on the sidewalk. Last time I went up, traffic stopped in the intersection as we started to turn. Then I saw a guy skeet grab a girl skeet and pull her down to the ground by her hair and rough her up. Right in the road. Got a glimpse of it on dashcam too. This intersection had a Travelodge hotel there. I wouldn’t be surprised if some dodgy people get put up in those rooms by some social agency. In 2012, a guy and two girls from a Satan website met up there. The guy killed the two girls.

Last year was the first time I’d explored downtown Barrie by car and foot. Counted no less than 8 street people. And a month ago there were 4 of them at the Dunlop exit Hortons in two groups. One of them threw garbage into the big in front on my car. 10 seconds later smoke was pouring out. I don’t think a cigarette roach caused that. No idea what happened and we booked it out of there.

^ Nice wakeup call!

Beauty morning here. Sunrise was nice enough but I was like OK it's kinda cloudy won't be any sun.. then it appeared as a giant glowing orb on the horizon, for which my phone had no ability to capture properly.

As you can see, nice but clouds on the horizon so I was about to bail.

Then this appears. And again my phone could only capture 1/10 of what this actually looked like

Random shot of the old girl from behind.

24C (humidex 32) and sunny in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 30C (humidex 37) this afternoon.

EC is now calling for four consecutive days of 30+ temperatures in the Hub City.

A lovely Sunday. And the Dutch are in town. Jesus Christ they're tall. Some of them definitely have to duck through doors downtown lol

Great photos SSH.

One word to describe the Okanagan lately and it is HOT. We hit 36.8c yesterday, out 10th day in a row above 30c and the forecast has zero relief in sight. The Lake sure is a good spot to be these days....
