At first I agreed with all the hotels suing to stop the incentives (because Pueblo deserves all the money more!), but in looking into some of the articles Takefive and others have posted it seems like people who hold things at Gaylord hold things at Gaylord. I'm sure it will take SOME business, but it seems more like adding a circuit party stop to Denver - in that I doubt anyone at a gaylord or a circuit party has any clue what city their in - just that they're at the next stop at their brand. It's not going to add much to anywhere except more Auroraness to Aurora. And in the end, it may be handy for Denver or other cities to have a giant gaudy reason to point out that it's obvious Aurora is lying whenever they claim to want sustainable, urban development and associated accouterments (such as transit, for example), should the need ever arise.
I know I'll stay there ALL the time.. there certainly isn't anything else to do in Colorado besides not leaving the airport area from a landlocked cruise ship.
