Subject Property is comprised of:
 An existing lot and building, which is owned by the Applicant; used as residential
units and “Institution, Humanitarian Service” land-use; zoned ML Zone.
 Three residential lots; two single-detached residential buildings; zoned RU Zone.
These buildings will be demolished to accommodate the proposed new building.
Very interesting

Drone photos of Lewvan Crossing Construction, Holy Rosary site and some phone photos of a residential build at 14th & Rae, and the Ronald McDonald House site.

I'll probably start making galleries that consolidate photos for specific projects, in addition to galleries of recent photos.

edit: Turns out I create new galleries from my previously uploaded images so I won't have to sort through my computer and reupload anything.

Posted 10 sorted galleries of existing pictures, should appear near the top of the gallery list. Imgur loads images into the new gallery by file name, so many in the Cargill plant gallery I didn't bother trying to sort them as I took pictures with multiple cameras over the years and one of the camera's image numbers rolled over at 10,000. https://imgur.com/user/ReginaSKConstruction/posts

For a few of project specific galleries I have a bunch of extra photos I apparently never uploaded, so I'll add to those eventually. UPDATE: Additional photos added to the Water Reservoir, General Parkade, and Warehouse galleries.

Took photos in several places today. That apartment project east of Costco is still completely fenced off. The exteriors go up fast but the interiors take a lot longer to finish. I was flipping through some old photos and came across the start of the land servicing for that project which was in early July 2023 with the roads in place by the end of that year.

That is just a zoning classification that covers all sorts of facilities.

Doing a search it looks like Flickr supports keeping the photo geotags and timestamps. I'm going to create an account there to test it out. If photos can be viewed by location sorted by time that would be a great way to view progress over time. There is a 1000 photo limit for free accounts so I'd need a pro account as I've got close to 3000 photos tagged as construction in my photo sorting program.

Trying out Flickr for image hosting, it is looking vastly better than imgur which nukes all the EXIF data and can't even sort images by date. So far I just uploaded my 2024 construction images which still need some sorting and tagging. It looks like when I was applying gps coordinates to my digital camera photos using my bicycle gps data I forgot to hit save after correcting some of the time offsets due to the camera clock drifting a lot. I'll have to fix those as I spot them.

Flickr supports albums or finding images by location.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/reginaconstruction/albums
https://www.flickr.com/photos/reginaconstruction/map

Free accounts only support 1000 images, and I'm already at 550 for just 2024. I decided to get Pro so I could upload everything, that's going to take a while to sort. With the drone the number of photos I take has gone up considerably since I can quickly get multiple angles without having to move.

Also, I don't know of anyone who has ever referred to Saskatoon as being the Paris of the Prairies. Unless, the poster is from Montmartre, the actual Paris of the Prairies.

Gord Downie would like a word with you, if he wasn't dead. Anyway, Paris of the Prairies is a longtime well known nickname for Saskatoon.

2800 photos uploaded and rough sorted into albums. There are some generic albums I'll sort more, but for now its better than the haystack. I'll also upload other non-construction stuff gradually.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/reginaconstruction/

On the Photostream page you can change the default sort from "Date Uploaded" to "Date Taken" (apparently you can only do that if you are logged in, I'll create an album of the most recent photos) to see the most recent photos otherwise it is somewhat random. I added a few pictures from the North Albert bridge today, still just building rebar cages and forms.

I hope you’re still posting photos here. Some people don’t like to look at those pages. Your photos are very much appreciated and just shows that Regina is not a deadbeat city like some people say it is it is booming.

Anyone notice the odd construction work going on at 311 Victoria Ave?

Just down from it at 315 there is a large multi storey building going up that looks to be a great addition to the area.

However, at 311 there is a bungalow house that over the last while they ripped the front off, built a solid cindercrete wall in front with no door or window openings, and now that wall has fallen over / collapsed. I don't have a good enough imagination to figure out what is happening at that site.

Whenever I take new photos I'll post a link to an album with the most recent ones.

315 is being constructed by a Muslim group. It is not a mosque but has some sort of religious purpose. I noticed the bizarre construction at 311 as well. Edit: IMAMIA ASSOCIATION OF REGINA INC. took out a $1.5 million building permit last year on 319 Vic
