Great updates! Hariri Pontariini seem to be EVERYWHERE. Thankfully their designs are mostly pleasant, and sometimes really great hits.

This building is by architects-Alliance, not COBE. The other buildings at Canary Landing are indeed by COBE. ;-)

It looks like the most interesting part of Halo Residences on Yonge, the black steel vertical fins on the outside of the inset balconies running up the center, seem to have been value-engineered out. Looking at the up-close photos, I'm not seeing any connection points to add them later. The balcony glass is pretty cool, but hope they don't lose that element of the design.

And while Hospital For Sick Children is looking great, the fins don't seem to be nearly as pronounced as the renderings led us to believe.

I had hated on Hyatt Place initially because of the renderings, but the first bit of glass facade is much more promising than I thought!

150 metre plus under construction and approved/proposed rendering, from Bloor/Yorkille south to the lake.

steveve

150 metres+: 79 built + 37 u/c = 136 (one shy of Chi-town - 132 built 5 u/c = 137).

How walkable are these larger developments with tons of greenspace? They look pretty in renders I suppose, but as a pedestrian I would get Le Corbusier-vibes.

I really hope the orange/rust accents on 15 Charles East stay that orange/rust. Will be a defining feature of that and really stand out on the skyline. If done well, it will really be a nice building.

West Don Lands: Block 13 should be named "Jazz Hands" in the marketing materials, becuase there's a lot going on. I like it, but it's very busy. I'm thinking those metal accents connecting the balconies end up getting scrapped for cost, safety, and privacy reasons. Would be really cool, though, in a foot chase scene in an action movie.
