Stopped by the Holy Rosary school demo twice, just sorting rubble both times so I only took pictures the first time. I think they are trying to avoid mixing the concrete with the bricks. Also stopped at the Emerald Park Coop cardlock site.

Forgot to mention that excavation has started on the Ronald McDonald House lot.

The Viterra project is over. It's just a matter of waiting until the big announcement. The merger killed it.

The SE wind project is massive and will completely transform the skyline for 50 km SW/S/SE of Regina. I'm curious on employment numbers. Construction will be huge, but even permanent staff could get close to 100 at full build out.

The water pipeline built for it in 2023 cost $70 million, back door subsidy courtesy of the Water Security Agency. Part of it also feeds the Cargill plant. But there is a 23 km section of 20" cast iron pipe going over to Inland Drive from where it branches near Sherwood Forest with directional drilling performed at Wascana Creek, the bypass, highway 6 and Inland Drive.

Yes, depending on size and location, wind turbines can be considered high-rise structures. While residential wind turbines are typically smaller, large-scale wind turbines, especially offshore, can reach heights comparable to or exceeding tall buildings.
Here's why:
Height:
Wind turbines are designed to capture wind at higher altitudes where wind speeds are typically greater. Large turbines can have towers that are several hundred feet high.
Hub Height:
The "hub height" (the distance from the ground to the center of the blades) for large-scale turbines can be over 300 feet.
Regina could soon getting over 80 new wind turbine towers at a very large height
Saskatoon is the Paris of the prairies which is true, but Regina could become the Dubai of the prairies , some consider these towers to be high-rise towers just like the CN tower

I figured Holy Rosary would be fully knocked down by today, but there is still a little bit standing. https://imgur.com/a/9FkMoIl

Thank you so much for the photos. Is there anything planned for that site?

The Archdiocese of Regina bought the building site, and city bought the park for $1. New owner plans consultations with community, so there just took the opportunity to get the land and will decide what to do with it later.

This project is now fully framed in with window and doors. It will be interesting to see how it does with 0 parking stalls. I believe this is first project like this under the new zoning bylaw.

New retail going up at 4th & Lewvan where they tore down the last piece of the nursing college. Still nothing in the big plot of land earmarked for grocery.

Thank you so much for posting. Are you able to post some drone pictures? That would be great thank you.

I was just driving by on the Lewvan when I noticed it. I can get some drone pictures Thursday or Friday, tomorrow the wind will be 40 gusting to 60 which is too much for it. From the glimpse I got of it, its another long multi-unit building similar to the one Dollarama is in.

Last week I noticed the 6 storey condo project on Neville Drive started, just pile drilling at the moment.

This one is interesting, right across from the rapid housing project site. Googling the site address seems to indicate it is owned by All Nations Hope Network.
