Yesterday's high was 27.1 with a low of 20.2.

^ Love conditions like that. Calm blue water with a light fog/haze over the lake.

Was a real scorcher today at Frontenac PP

This almost looked like a cement path painted lime green or something, but it's whatever little water plant is growing in this swampy area.

It was quite hot today, with a high of 28C, but thankfully clouds started moving in by the time we hit our high.
I went for a midday walk in the Don Valley, seeing a chipmunk, some dragon flys, and not much else thankfully, as I was removing some Dog strangling vine and a part of a buckthorn tree I felled with help from a friend.
I couldnt ID this plant for the life of me, but after a lot of googling, I think its a honeysuckle. I just don't know if its native or not.

You can see lots of DSV in this shot, and a rose bush of some type to the right

I then went for a little jaunt to the vicinity of the Science Centre, and as I type this I'm about to start looking through those photos.

I also got eaten by mosquitoes, but its just that time of year.

I did collect a decent little branch from the buckthorn tree I helped fell part of...it'll be my next wood carving project/experiment once it dries out a bit more. The branch was felled on Tuesday, so i might wait until Sunday or so before I begin carving into it, although I'm very much aware buckthorn is not ideal for my purposes.
]
EDIT: Okay, heres a better idea of where I went. I havent really been in this part of the valley since I was a kid, or perhaps this was my first time here. But I was being followed by a cloud of mosquitos so I didn't really consider composition for most of the images I took here...these are probably the best from that little walk:

Oh, okay that's fair. That's unfortunate, but hey, that's just the way things are. I spotted a patch under a railway bridge on my walk today....god I wish I had some clippers to cut it down, even though it was 8 feet tall and occupying an area that was about 20 by 15 feet by my estimate.

Yeah. Europeans and plant imports have been here so long, though, if it's not knotweed, it's something else. We really cant win. We just have to mow a lawn around what we like, or native plants, to give them a foothold of time the length of our lives, and hope the next owner of our homes continues it. Because it they neglect it even one year, their lawn is all knotweed and that white Queen Anne shit or whatever it's called lol And fire ants. And snails/slugs. All introduced/not native.

29C with a humidex of 37 and sunny.

Low of 22C (humidex of 28) this morning. Kind of a cloudy start to the day.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 37.9C. That beats Bathurst mark of 37.6C. New highest temperature this year in the country.

Warmest low was Port Colborne, ON at 21.9C.

A mix of sun and cloud and 24 (humidex 30, dew point 18) at 12pm. High near 26-27 this afternoon.

It's the perfect summer day.

Humid sticky day, great day to be near the water and at the beach. Beach was filling up nicely, I imagine it will be packed this afternoon. Chance of a thunderstorm, however.

Here is a link for you https://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/ka...forecast/47165
Temps are also taken at the airport where the wind comes off the lake, Most people experience temperatures +3c warmer then those reported. Thats normal for us in Kamloops which is why I took it in to consideration.

PS I love your signature, BWAHA HA HA HA

1) that says max 41c
2) doubt it's consistently 3 degrees warmer, need to see some proof of that.

28C with a humidex of 35 and mainly this afternoon.

Low of 19C this morning. Airport was reporting isolated showers but it was before I woke up. Cloudy start to the day. Been a pattern the last couple of days, cloudy mornings, sunny afternoons.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 37.4C

Warmest low was Port Colborne, ON at 21.8C.

We have settled into our usual summer temperatures. This is what the lowest summer standard deviation in the country (outside the coastal areas) will do. Everyday is super constant and you can pretty copy paste the temperatures from one day to another as long as there isn't any heat waves.

The last 5 days have seen highs between 29.9C and 28.7C and lows between 21.6C and 18.8C.
Looks like we will continue with the 28-29C highs for a while. No surprise.
