A beautiful Canada Day around Vancouver. Sunny, warm, dry.

Monday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 22 C (25 C w/Humidex), the low was 15 C.

Drizzle, but the heavier than sweeps through in sheets every so often. It's going to get much worse.

Yesterday was a bit of a mixed bag for Canada day, we hit 24c with quite a few showers that gave us a few good down pours throughout the day. Today is looking like another 24c day as we slowly make our ways to 35c/36c by the weekend.

Had an eventful day playing Predator Ridge golf course - absolutely breathtaking course for anyone coming out this way looking to play a top ranked course for a decent $$ well worth it, as well as enjoying the firework display downtown.

Saturday and Sunday were garbage. Canada Day wasn't hot, but at least it was warm and sunny.

Caught some bass on Little Lake in Midland while Canada Day festivities were going on.

While splitting logs we've seen various insects emerge from the bark or logs, but even a salamander decided to make an appearance. BIL built two more racks. Time to fill them up. At this point, like most other houses/cottages/cabins that have these, the wood bill be more decorative than anything. No way we can burn through that.

And saw three float planes leave the same cottage within five minutes of each other. Must have been a meeting of the illuminati that secretly control the country.

I really enjoyed the fireworks from the Bird sanctuary. But yeah the weather was very bipolar in Kelowna yesterday. Started pouring hard when friends and I were at King taps on the patio

Some pics from throughout the day

And the fireworks finale

Already a record last month, and the really heavy stuff is just starting downtown.

Still pouring. Peonies are almost ready to bloom lol. I'd say they'll open with the sun Thursday.

EDIT: The rain just keeps getting heavier. This is incredible.

Edit 2: lol Trimmed the knotweed. I like the tunnel, and want to keep them from hanging over the azalea lol

Kelowna is such a small town still that I actually recognize a few people in your photos. Too funny.

Quarter million people now. Fairly small but it is now starting to feel like a proper city. Long way to go though. I won't be moving back any time soon.

28C (humidex of 31) and sunny. Another gorgeous day. It's too dry for July (dewpoint was below 10C at times this afternoon) but no complaints when the temperature is warm.

Low of 16C this morning.

The warmspot was Fredericton, NB at 30.0C (Ennadai Lake is showing a high of 38.4C but that is BS). That area was warm today so it could have the warmest place in the country but because of faulty readings, we will never know.

Warmest low was Lillooet, BC at 18.4C.

BTW-YUL missing data on July 1st, June 29th and June 27th because of a single hour unavailability.
The last month WITHOUT missing data was April. 2nd largest city of a G7 country... no words!

The rain is unexpectedly over early - it was supposed to continue all day today. Avalon will stay under overcast skies and fog through afternoon, but the rest of the island is in for a glorious day.

Ottawa Stats for June: Average High: 24.5C, Average Low: 13.4C
Highest High: 33.7C, Lowest Low: 5.8C - Nothing out of the ordinary, just a slightly above average June temperature wise. However, it was extremely wet with a total of 149.5 mm of rain.

It seemed to rain every other day the entire month except for the mid-month heat wave.

Death Valley is calling for 52 degrees for an entire week. Living up to its name.

I hope your knotweed isn't spreading too much to other areas, as its quite a pest of a plant (nevermind being invasive) if it gets out of control.
That being said, it looks like you have things under control

It predates me; I'd've never added it myself. But yeah this patch is well controlled. It's everywhere on the island in general, though. Especially downtown, highway ditches, etc. It's been here for many generations.
