This is a real mess who is in charge of this organization that should be sent to prison for stupidity
Tim Reid is the one who created the REAL mess. He already got fired.

Ward 3 councillor Andrew Stevens announces in his report to constituents he will be moving on to other things.

Heaven forbid we have a councilor that puts people above concrete. Not saying he was perfect, but he was better than 90% of city council who vote blindly in favour of whatever developers want.

Stevens was fine although I didn't always agree with him. Council always needs a different voice and point of view and I guess that was him most times.

I respect Stevens way more than LeBlanc who I think is just a phony.

The only trouble is there was nothing ever developed ever since He was on council. He was as useless as a tone, on a boar

A proposed residential high-rise apartment in the Douglas Park neighbourhood is in front of the City of Regina Planning Commission.
The development has seen wide opposition from nearby residents.
These people in Regina are so spoiled. It’s just really really bad a whole bunch of Karen’s since when is a five story building a high-rise that’s not a high-rise. It’s like a five story walk up like how crazy can they be?

The way they are carrying on, you'd think this building was going in the middle of the block with houses immediately on either side.

Vanessa Matthews has a good summary about this proposed building.

I've been following municipal politics for 20 years and he is by far the best councilor we've ever had.

I beg To differ his goal was to destroy downtown. There’s even emails of him stating that so there you go.

Except that his politics are very far left of the average Regina citizen. Does that make him good? Shouldn't pragmatism and competence be the test? Left or right, the best leaders are not ideologues.

I disagree with him on a lot of things. However, I highly respect how engaged he is in the job. I do think he truly wants to make the city a better place, and he isn't just some seat filler type councilor that doesn't bother to be informed on the issues.

I am honestly not sure what is more important to me in a councilor, one who thinks just like me, or one who cares and is highly engaged.

I ran into Andrew on the weekend, and he was just as engaged as always, and intent on truly listening to my opinion (which he asked me for, and then thanked me for always be transparent and honest with him).

Stevens is easily one of the most engaged, sensible, and logical Councillors we've had in some time. Shame to see him go - but totally understandable.

Exactly. I may not agree with everything he says or does, but he never shows up unprepared, is always willing to engage in reasonable debate, and has been extremely transparent and public with his position on various topics.

That's all you can really ask for in any politician.

THAT is considered a high-rise development? Five floors tall? Wouldn't that be considered a low or mid-rise building?

You are absolutely lying.

Post the evidence.

You won't because you are a liar.
