I was trying to figure out why the floorplate on the farther end looks higher. It's the parking garage ramp.

Speaking of which, where is the entrance to the garage?

So excited to see this rise. Semi off-topic, but does anyone else get spooked at the idea of SA getting parking podiums left & right down the road on new projects?

Same question I asked myself. I studied the picture a little bit and I think its the square hole next to the elevator. But that seems like an off place to put it and it seems as if it would be very hard to turn in the garage coming up.

I work in a building with a large parking garage and turning corners is the hardest thing to do. Wonder how these cars will be able to turn once they get up to the second level.

Nah, honestly I'd rather have buildings with podiums than empty parking lots and random garages. Kinda just comes with the territory of being a sunbelt city built on limestone I guess.

I'm a big fan of mass transit as are many people on this forum, but I don't see San Antonio having even the inkling of a reasonable mass transit system in my lifetime. So better to have the garage as part of the building than a separate structure on the next block (to paraphrase theOGalexd). Even as we progress to electric cars, they still need parking spaces.

I still want to know where the parking entrance/exit and lowest level ramps are. There are obviously places for vehicles to drive under the middle of the building, so perhaps the entrance/exit are there and the ramps are under the tower portion. That's the only thing that makes sense to me based on the posted renderings. Does anyone have access to more detailed plans?

In the above photo there is a big hole that must be the ramp (under the Weston sign, appropriately enough in the stand-alone garage across the street). If so, the path would require people to drive around the building's garage in a path the shape of an unbent paper clip.

I found this, but it doesn't seem to indicate a ramp.

Doubtful (it's a residential), and hopefully not (it's not 1987).

A lot of the residential buildings in Austin do, but the only spot I can see lighting working here is around the top.

I know. I just think it's cheesy. My opinion.

I still want to know about the garage entrance and lower ramp. If someone in SA can take a photo or two of the inside of the first level showing the ramp, I would greatly appreciate it.

I had an AirBNB that was on the top floor in Dallas and there was lights directly outside of my window.

I think the ambient lighting gives these kinds of buildings some character at night. Without anything it would be a giant dark wall.

Here's some more pictures of uptown Dallas and some of their buildings that have it.

To each their own for sure!

I think the NYC financial district looks good without it and it being mostly tall office towers helps. I've always liked Dallas' futuristic look at night and I think SA has a decent lighting scheme going. I'm curious if they're gonna do anything with the Intercontinental crown lighting whenever that reno is done.

I was downtown Monday and it didn't, or at least it didn't look like it from ground level. We really need a webcam on this one!

I wonder if anyone has noticed this.
The East elevation looks really nice compared to the West elevation. I really wish they can switch sides. The East elevation will be mostly covered by the Weston Centre. The West Elevation will be very visible from the west, from IH 35 and San Pedro Creek.

I just drove by today and we already have a third floor on the northern end... they are working incredibly fast. Though there is something that I find unusual but it may be a normal practice (?) - there is still no concrete foundation; what we currently have are large columns rising from gravel/sand. I have never seen a building constructed that way before. Can anyone shed some light on what they are doing?

San Antonio's tallest building in a decade and a half is actively under construction and the latest photo update was almost three weeks ago. All I ask is one photo per floor. Please?
