This is just going to get more and more interesting as it grows. What's neat is that you can see so much as compared to the usual concrete construction.

Thanks for the update, McMinsen. As an Allied REIT unitholder, I'm particularly pleased to see this progress apace.

Will the elevators go on the outside of the concrete structure?

No, the elevators will go inside the core.

Those are some very interesting connection points on the steel columns, thanks for the pics!

Cantilever pieces being installed - they don't seem to angle out much (yet?)

Pics by me today:

The way that the cantilever supports angle / flair out, they seem to have changed the design of the floorplates
and the struts seem different than shown here. The lowest "square" projection towards Homer seems to be missing.

Its a shame we don't build out of steel more often.

Much quicker. Would seem like a favourable solution during a RE shortage.

Only downside locally being that we are so well set up for concrete construction.

Very true. Concrete is sourced from down the street at Ocean Concrete or within the region at Lafarge, whereas structural steel is sourced from across the continent (or ocean).

Same here.
I look at some of those struts and wonder "where the heck is that one pointing to"?
I'm looking for struts that might form the side of a cube (like on the drawings)
and I'm having a hard time finding them.

Will the 4 anchor points circled in yellow here form a cube?
