Tim Tierney said the NCC hates the City the other day during the debate about the Windmill proposal on Regina, because they don't winter maintain a few trails?

Anyway, NCC rebottle

Westboro skyline is now hidden behind the wall of Parkdale. The 40 floor towers might peak through when they get built, but the rest won't be visible from this angle. Even Metropole is hidden.

On the Gatineau side, W/E I is just barely visible from certain angles, but W/E II (and III once built) are completely hidden. Disappointing. Hull really needs a new PPU that would beef up the skyline while preserving certain blocks of well preserved Ile de Hull stock.

Spectacular vantage point. Despite the lack of height, when viewed as a whole, the region does look like one of 1.5 million people.

It's a travesty though that the Hull towers near the MC Bridge as so low. That would have been a good spot to go tall.

^I'm so thankful the Ottawa side of Zibi has such high quality/variety of buildings. Hopefully it continues that way. I also hope the Tunney's skyline keeps growing.

On a side note, really smart of you to cut Gatineau Zibi out of this picture ahahah

That's a really great photo! Captures the river in all its winter glory and the highrises are not half bad either

Wow that middle shot is REALLY depressing. All of this density yet no breathing room between buildings, no distinctive building or architecture, no skyline...

A little pano taken today from the Brooke Claxton building. Direct link for higher res: https://i.postimg.cc/bv6SqHLz/DSC08728-Pano.avif

That tower in the market is really competing with Parliament from this angle.

Great shot! And I agree, the height restrictions as they exist result in buildings that compete even more with Parliament than if they were more varied and spread out (more restrictions in the Market/Rideau, fewer restrictions west of Bank).

I do wish you turned your camera slightly to the right to capture the action at LeBreton and the Escarpment.
