This is going up at a nice clip. Turning onto 76 from South Street Bridge, it looks like it will have a huge impact. Chop's Buerger building was done, right! So, I can't wait to see what this looks like when finished.

One of those buildings that will have have an impact far exceeding its size/design (not that I dislike either) because of its location.

They really need to jack that crane soon. The core appears to be higher than the crane.

Crane parts are in short supply in Philly right now.

Inga was critical of this project partially because its adjacent to a rowhome neighborhood. I think that actually makes it somewhat cool. And it's hardly unprecedented in Philly where you often find 3 story homes a couple of streets away from highrises.

I too don't see an issue with the modest height alongside the current neighborhood. I makes the neighborhood feel part of a vibrant urban area, rather than the "frontier" neighborhood the it used to be (especially adjacent to the run-down monstrosity that this project replaces). It's another part of her criticism that I found more significant: the supposedly car-centric way the project was designed to meet the street. I haven't closely studied the most recent plans, but there appears to have been an attempt to mitigate that. We'll see how it turns out.

The two cores now look like carbon copies. (CHOP & FMC)
