The view from King street currently is kind of sad - sure hoping that a Pahse 2 abuts the monster concrete wall directly or we will have a collosal tagger's delight.

Vranich recently said he purchased that property that backs onto the podium and said he will go as tall as the city lets him....which in true Hamilton progress fashion is shorter than what he's currently building. But at least his plan is to build another tower and have the backs of each podium face each other.

Yes this view is not pretty but there are another 3 buildings proposed that will block this entirely ....and the west and north facing sides of the project are really looking sharp at the moment .... This building will probably be Hamilton's shiniest and most modern looking for the next little while

^ Yes, Vranich has already announced his intentions to build a tower on the lot directly north of here. The podiums will line up, which means this view is only temporary.
And you're correct, based on the glass/trim and curved angles coming soon on the tower portion, this will by far be Hamilton's nicest modern tower (not that there's much competition in this department. haha)

Let's hope intention and good will not derailed by LRT waffle. Mac project is great, and that leaves just the south east corner or block to somehow not swallow up textile property

Imo, if it were possible, it'd be ideal to have the Mac res parking garage on that corner, makes more sense than fronting King if they aren't putting commercial underneath.

Getting excited to see curved tower portion that's starting to form.

I can't remember if it's being curved towards King or towards George St.

it's symmetrical.

Outward curves facing Caroline and Bay.
Inward curves facing King and George

You can see one of the curved corners of the building poking out of the formwork right now on the southwestern corner of the tower. I think they're almost ready to move up to floor 9.
