The museum is ours and should not be built but the ECCA is provincial so we have to keep it open according to the WRP?

Stupid how some people trying to run this province don't care to strengthen Alberta's image.

Alberta is Canada's cash cow and the amount the province does for our country does not justify how little recognition it gets. There's clearly a history of Edmonton and even Alberta getting shafted by the feds and its not right. The feds only care to strengthen Canada's current international image which is of the golden horseshoe and Vancouver.

If the feds don't care to put Alberta on the map, the province should; or else Alberta will always be the unsung hero. I hope Wildrose don't get any influential power or I'd be starting a protest.

I guess I'm wearing the glasses too. Danielle Smith can barely hide her contempt for Edmonton. Other than a few scattered rural ridings, I don't think they will have much success at all. Certainly none here in Edmonton.

Danielle Smith, Stephen Harper, Rod Love, Tom Flanagan...all hail from the so-called Calgary School that seems to have a "Fuck Edmonton" clause in their charter.

I agree with you on the ridings in the City of Edmonton. I sure as hell would not vote for her or "her" party (she is all you see so its all hers...). But she might pick up some seats in Calgary.

^you might be surprised, unfortunately. The Wildrose is about three things: Free Market conservatism or less government, Property Rights, and fiscal conservatism. So when you break that down - Huge interests in Calgary to push for less government interference. The WR plays corporate Calgary's tune. - Property rights, Rural. - fiscal conservatism, rurals and red-necks. One could argue that those three take up about 2/3rds of the population. Their plan to play to Albertans does not include Edmonton. For Calgary to think that WR will shaft Edmonton in favour their City, may sway even the more centrist Calgarian.

I was just thinking about what happens to the museum if Wild Rose wear to form the government. Even though we have a signed agreement can it be postponed by a new government. If i were the developer i would sue the government for breach of contract.
I wish the museum could be made an election issue for Edmonton .

Its Bob and Ledcor. They may not sue but will negotiate compensation.
Every agreement can be cancelled. That said no way in hell am I voting for WR.

No Federal Building - she said a waste
Open the muni to flights
No museum
No LRT
Slash and burn public sector (death bell for Edmonton)

What a btch...

Yeah...Hubcap Smith's contempt for Edmonton is all too telling. And if a WR candidate bothers to knock my door, that is exactly what my response will be.

Agreed. These are all too important for the future of the city.

Noticed as I walked through CN Tower from Epcor, Ledcor as a site office for RAM. As well, I have been informed that the parking lot to the east of CN Tower has a number of parking stalls now blocked for Ledcor staff.

I don't know about you guys but this election is one bad dream. I have a horrible feeling that we will have a vast majority WR government. There goes the new museum and God only knows what else. We might just as well put a sign on Calgary trail that reads . The City of Edmonton is now closed and condemned do to the infestation of wild roses. Does any one have some Weed Ex befor it's too late.

Every seat counts, especially with the Liberal collapse - there could be some flips in the Capital Region, and if you want to avoid some WR coming up the middle in a weird split, have to think about your choice on election day.

When Decore was the Liberal leader they understood that to get elected they would have to be fiscally on the conservative side, and they came fairly close to getting elected.

After Decore they latched onto the "Klein is Satan" mantra of the NDP and rode it right into oblivion. It made them popular with the CBC and the Journal, but not with ordinary people.

Blame the rise of the Wild Rose on the incompetence of the Liberal Party's leadership for the last 15 or so years. I'm only voting PC because the Liberals are too dumb to be in power, and because a vote for anyone but the PCs is a vote for D Smith.

^ It depends on your riding... In Edmonton Norwood-Highlands your best bet is Brian Mason, In Stratchcona Rachel Notley should pull out another win and Laurie Blakeman is a good bet or Edmonton Centre
